1/ Prepare your equipment for the exam and then go to the exam area.
This step is mandatory. It is essential for the smooth running of your exam.
The procedure is explained in the article: Certification exam: checking your computer configuration.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can consult the FUN help centre and contact the support service if you cannot find the answer you are looking for via the Send a request form at the top right of the page.
How do you get to the exam area for your training course?
The access area for taking the exam is located directly within your training course on the platform. It is a dedicated section that is visible within the training course, and is usually called ‘End-of-training exam’. After reading the description, click on the title of the area. Below is an illustrative example:
Inside, you will see a ProctorExam activity, which will usually be titled "End-of-course examination:
the name of your course". A ProctorExam icon is visible next to it, like this:
ProctorExam Activity
Below is an example:
After clicking on the activity title, you will be taken to ProctorExam to complete two successive validation and verification phases, which are dependent on each other, before you can access the exam subject:
System validation of your equipment
Verification of your identity
2/ System validation of your equipment
After clicking on the title with the ProctorExam icon next to it, you will be taken to a page in English with several pieces of information divided into two parts:
First part of the name ‘Scheduling and duration’
Exam start time-Last entry/Start and end date of the exam period
Duration/The duration of the exam
Second part of the name ‘Exam access’
Check your system/Check your system
Start your exam/Start your exam
The line ‘Check your system’ refers to the hardware validation phase:
To validate your hardware using the system, simply click on the ‘Start’ button in the ‘Check your system’ line, and you will be redirected to a new tab. In this new tab, the rest of the process will be in French.
This phase consists of six steps:
Authorisation of notifications
Activation of screen sharing
Activation of the microphone
Testing of the speakers
Activation and authorisation of the webcam
Testing of connection stability
To start the verification process, simply click on the blue ‘Start verification’ button:
Here is an illustrative GIF that shows and summarises the entire process:
Once this phase has been validated, the interface will change and ‘Check your system (complete)’ will be displayed on the interface. You can then proceed to the final step, which will allow you to take the test.
3/ Identity verification phase
Before starting the process, please read the following information:
A) Warnings and reminders
Valid proof of identity
Your proof of identity must contain your photograph. The following documents are accepted:
Valid French or foreign identity card
Valid French or foreign passport
French or foreign driving licence
Temporary residence card, resident card, nationality card
Examination period and duration
This information can be found on the left-hand side under the heading ‘Scheduling and duration’. It tells you the date by which you must decide to take the test and how long the test will last.
Environment
As a reminder, you must take certain precautions before the exam begins:
No movement is permitted during the exam
You must remain seated during the exam
You must be alone in a sufficiently lit room
You must refrain from speaking aloud during the exam, including reading the exam questions
B) Launching the identity verification phase
Close the tab for the system's hardware verification and validation page. Return to the English page where you clicked on the ‘Start’ button in the ‘Check your system’ line. You will see that there has been a change in status on this line. It now says ‘Check your system (complete)’*. This means that you can move on to the second step and start the exam.
*Note: if the word ‘complete’ does not appear on the line, you have two options
Either refresh the page to reload it,
or log out of your training platform, then log back in and return to this ProctorExam page.
In principle, after one of these two actions, the word ‘complete’ will appear.
Click on the ‘Start’ button on the ‘Start your exam’ line:
Below you will find a translated image of the interface:
After clicking on the ‘Start’ button, the rest of the process will be in French.

Starting to record your screen and webcam for the examination
Testing connection stability
Accessing the examination subject (by clicking on the ‘Start your examination’ button)
Please note: Once you have clicked on the ‘Start your exam’ button, you cannot interrupt the exam process. If you abandon the exam after clicking on the button, your exam will be considered as having been taken.

Here is an illustrative GIF that shows and summarises the entire process:
Note: this GIF focuses on the process; it is not a real simulation. This means that for the steps where it is necessary to perform actions related to identity verification (taking a photo of your face and supporting document), no real photos will be taken.
Once this phase has been validated, the interface will change and ‘Check your system (complete)’ will be displayed on the interface. You can then proceed to the final step, which will allow you to take the exam.
