# I've already obtained my badge for a course. Can I get a certificate as well?

Successful completion badges now replace successful completion certificates. **They have been generated for courses since September 2022**. No additional certificates will be issued.

It is not possible to obtain a certificate for an archived or self-paced course, either in addition to or instead of the badge.
